Sniper Gun Shooting is a scope-and-patience game. Each mission gives you a target, a rifle and a fixed vantage point, and asks you to steady your breath, account for the distance and take one clean shot. There is no running and gunning — miss and the mission usually ends.

It is a slower, more deliberate counterpoint to the arena shooters elsewhere on this site, and a good one to play when you want precision rather than pace.

How to play Sniper Gun Shooting

Scope in with the right mouse button and use the scroll wheel to adjust zoom.
Find the target using the mission brief before you scope — the scope narrows your view drastically.
Steady the rifle before firing; the reticle sway settles after a moment.
Take the shot when the reticle is still, not when the target is.

Tips for Sniper Gun Shooting

Zoom out to locate, zoom in to shoot. Hunting for a target at maximum zoom wastes the whole timer.
Lead moving targets slightly — the bullet is not instant at long range.
Holding breath steadies the reticle but runs out; do not scope in until you are nearly ready.
A missed shot alerts the level. Take the time to be sure.
